Description
Shale Shaker is an iPad application that analyzes vibration and motion of an industrial shale shaker.
It works with Motionics’ Shale Shaker Test Kit by connecting to the DAQ box and collecting vibration signals from 2 accelerometers in real time, simultaneously. Users can view X&Y direction vibration in a waveform, FFT spectrum, or an X-Y orbit plot and record vertical/horizontal/resultant G readings.

2-Channel Simultaneous Data Acquisition
ShaleShaker connects to two accelerometers via a Motionics 2-CH DAQ box and collects vibration signals in both horizontal and vertical directions simultaneously. Resultant G readings are automatically calculated from horizontal and vertical readings. The user has the option to use overall RMS value or peak value for vibration measurements.
Real-time TWF, FFT & XY-Orbit Plot
A real-time signal viewer updates vibration signal continuously in ShaleShaker. Users can select TWF option to observe vibration waveform in time domain, or FFT option to inspect frequency components in a wide range spectrum, or XY-Orbit plot option to monitor G motion pattern.
PDF Test Report & Local Report Manager
After each test, user can quickly generate a PDF test report in the ShaleShaker app to include machine information, spectrum and XY- Orbit plot, map location, pictures from library or camera, signatures and notes. Test reports can be saved locally in test report manager for future evaluation or exported via Email and wireless printing.
